The AIAS is an independent, non-profit, and student run organization that is more than just a club. This grassroots association is a cooperative effort between thousands of students across the country (of all ages and academic degrees) committed to helping each other. It provides a sense of community and a forum for students share their views. The AIAS is also a professional organization that is the only official representative of students to academia and the architecture profession.

The West Valley College Chapter is not only a voice for students. Our vast collection of resources and activities is designed to help students accomplish goals, save time, and assist with educational and professional pursuits. Past years of the West Valley College AIAS have been inactive and dormant. The past year has been a sort of .rebuilding. year for the West Valley Chapter to recreate their image in the eyes of professionals and the community. The current leadership committment and efforts have proven a positively dramatic transformation of the West Valley College AIAS image. Since the start of this transformation, the AIAS has committed to the creation of several new programs, implementation of new volunteer opportunities, and has placed tremendous efforts in the connections between students and professionals of the industry.
